John was born in Liverpool England. He played professional football for Birmingham City. A graduate of Leeds University he settled in Rhode Island in 1990. Since that time John has coached at Salve Regina University, Bryant University, and Rhode Island College. He has been the Director of coaching for RI ODP, Bruno United, and is currently a Director at The Liverpool International Academy. John has been a principal figure in molding youth soccer development in the USA for the past 30 years. His innovative coaching style is inspired and founded upon the professional methodologies of his native Liverpool, England. John currently holds his NSCAA Advanced National Diploma, USSF National Youth certification, and Liverpool FC accreditation. He resides in Portsmouth Rhode Island with his family.
